I wanted to keep Cyclops lean, not betray that "Slim" nickname he was given. I have always seen Cyclops as the guy that could turn into "Defense" from "Falling Down" just up and lose his mind, and go on a rampage, or maybe even a school shooter, that he could have easily been a villain. Though I don't care for how they are handling him in the current X-Men comics. Big pass on those.
